KingShot Beginner’s Guide
editor•
Welcome to KingShot, a city-building war strategy game similar to Whiteout Survival. The key to success is efficiency and consistency, ensuring you don't waste resources. Your main goals are to build your hive, train troops, upgrade heroes, and stay active in missions and events.
First Steps (First 24 Hours)
- Top Priority: Follow and complete the chapter missions as quickly as possible.
- Upgrade Your Town Center ASAP: This unlocks new buildings and troops.
- Train Troops Non-Stop: Never let your Training Camps sit idle.
- Join an Active Alliance: Provides protection, buffs, and help for buildings and research.
- Do Intel Missions and Suppress Battles: Get hero shards.
- Avoid Gathering Early On: Initial missions provide plenty of resources. Start gathering from the map on Day 2 or 3.
- Save Recruitment Hero Keys: Wait until you have 10 for a better chance to get full heroes (even Mythic ones). Drop rates are published in-game.
Base Development & Economy
- Building Priority: Town Center > Training Camps > Research Lab > Resource Buildings.
- Use Speed-Ups Wisely: Save them for important events. Use some if you spend money, but save most for later events. Avoid using speed-ups on troop training unless you have at least Tier 7 unlocked.
- Keep Builders Busy: Never let your base sit idle.
- Daily Tasks for Resources:
- Watchtower missions.
- Daily Missions.
- Join an active alliance for the Pitfall event (Bear Hunt). The more damage you deal to the Bear, the higher the rewards.
- Gather Resources: Especially before going to bed. Purchase "gathering enhance" from Growth and find the biggest nodes.
- Nomadic Merchant: Check the Shop and refresh it after getting deals you are interested in. Refreshing all 3 deals is recommended.
Troops & Combat
- Troop Types: Infantry (Tank), Archers (DPS), Cavalry (Speed).
- Best Formation: Infantry in front, Archers and Cavalry behind.
- Training Order: Focus on training more Infantry first, then Archers, then Cavalry.
- First Weeks Strategy: Always train new troops instead of upgrading old ones. Unlock Tier 5-6 or even Tier 7-8 before focusing on upgrading existing troops.
- Arena Battles: Play every day. Do your 10 attacks in the last 1-10 minutes before reset (00:00 UTC) to reduce the chance of others attacking you and dropping your rank.
- Attacking Bases: Hitting until their troop defense count is zero does not necessarily trigger a force teleport.
Heroes
- Leveling Up Heroes: Focus on your best 5 heroes, ideally Epic or Mythical quality. Spread elixir among these top 5.
Free-to-Play (F2P) and Pay-to-Win (P2W)
- F2P Players: Save gems for VIP levels and key events.
- P2W (or Spending a Little):
- Best packs to buy include Construction Pack, March Queues, Weekly Pack, and Monthly Pack.
- Wait until your Town Center reaches Level 8 before buying the Monthly Pack to get a discount voucher.
- VIP packs and pop-up offers (when upgrading buildings or using hero keys) can also be worth it.
- Avoid unnecessary spending.
Advanced Tips
- Create a Second Character (Farm Account):
- Gather resources from missions and gathering.
- Attack your farm account to transfer resources to your main account.
- Keep the farm account's storehouse at Level 1 for easier resource transfer.
- Focus on buildings, research, and missions if you have time.
- Train Troops Daily: Don't stop until you have enough to fill all your marches for gathering.
- Use gems on your farm account as you don't need to save them there.
- Alliances with Farm Accounts: Some alliances have a separate farm alliance for generating resources from events like Pitfall.
- Purchases: Not shared across characters.
- Interacting with Friends in Different States/Kingdoms:
- Start a new character in their kingdom.
- Transfer to their kingdom later, approximately 40-50 days after your kingdom started.
- To talk to a friend in a different kingdom, you need their coordinates.
- Map Fog: Automatically clears after a certain state age.
- Using Resource Packs: Use them for big events. Save enough for future big events.
- Name Change Issue: Might be due to censoring.
Remember to stay active, keep growing, and dominate the battlefield!
